Paranoia, fear and hatred of men - combined with police harassment - illustrates police-state like attitudes

Paranoia, fear and hatred of men - combined with police harassment -
illustrates police-state like attitudes

The letter below illustrates the level of fear, paranoia and hatred of
men that permeates female thinking in the US - It is no different in Canada.

The incident also illustrates the police-state mentality of police in
the US and likely Canada, especially since instead of questoning the
paranoid female about what the alleged "pedophile" had actually done,
likely because he had a visible camera in his possession (which is not
in itself suspicious or improper, but cops hate cameras in the hands of
citizens -well documented). The seizure of Updike's phone was illegal
and an improper act, also normal behaviour for cops.

Now - sitting in a park, with either a phone or a camera - is
'suspicious' behaviour worthy of police harassment.

Dear Neighbor,
Yesterday was a beautiful day, I think you will agree. I decided to take
a short walk from my house on Hamilton Street to Dana Park, which I have
been coming to almost daily since 1989, the year my son was born. As I
often do, I brought my camera, sat on a bench for about 10 minutes, did
one lap around the park and headed home.
I had barely gotten across the street when three police cars pulled up:
I was told to stop, and swiftly surrounded by six policemen. I was
"detained" there for approximately 20 minutes and questioned; another
officer returned to the park to find out why you had called them.
My suspected crime, apparently, was having a camera in a public park,
and allegedly taking pictures of children. As it turned out, I had taken
no pictures that day. But I have been photographing in this neighborhood
for 30 years, and have published a children's book of poems and
photographs, always with permission.
The policeman returned and wanted to see my "flip phone," and then asked
me if I knew how he knew I had a flip phone: I didn't. He knew, he told
me, because the woman who called the police had taken a picture of ME,
sitting on the bench, and shown him the picture. They then took away my
phone, scrolled through the few pictures that were on it.
They continued to hover around me asking questions. As it happened, I
was standing near the house where my son now lives, and when my wife
appeared, walking down the street after work, and saw me standing in
front of his house with six policemen, she instantly feared something
terrible had happened to our son. She was shaking, and I explained the
situation. She is an English teacher at Cambridge Rindge and Latin
School; I am a college professor of English. Our son spent much of the
first 15 years of his life in Dana Park.
You must be new in the neighborhood. I am often in the park, on foot or
on a bike, talking to friends who have children who play in the
playground. I know you were standing very near to me for the entire time
I was on the bench, though I could not figure out why. Now I know: you
were taking my picture.
Suggestion: the next time you suspect someone is up to no good, perhaps
you should say hello, speak to them first and, if still anxious, ask
what they are taking pictures of. That's what people do in a
neighborhood park: talk to each other. This would save someone the
humiliation and degradation of being stopped and held by the police, and
might save the police from wasting their time when they could be doing
something more useful, like managing the daily mayhem in Central Square.
The fact that you now have my picture in your phone is both sadly ironic
and, well, creepy. Could you please delete it?
Your neighbor,
— David Updike, Hamilton Street, Canbridge

Political Fools and Idiots - Jake Tapper and D. Trump

I don't give a rat's ass about Jeb Bush or Donald Trump, but I can't abide the nincompoops and idiots that pretend to be important political pundits and interviewers such as Jake Tapper.  Trump is definitely certifiable as a jackass - but watching the so-called news is like immersing oneself in a pigsty of stupidity.

Here is the Headline:

CNN host destroys Jeb Bush: You blame Hillary for Benghazi but insist brother blameless for 9/11

The CNN host saw some similarities.  There are some.  But what it demonstrates is that the entire US political and media system is incompetent, stupid and rotten.  Jake was too cowardly, or ignorant, to say that US approach to the problem of Islamist terrorism and militancy is gravely flawed.

Jeb Bush was correct when he laid the blame for the Bengazi ( I don't recall the proper spelling - so what!) fiasco on Hilary and the Dems.  This was a  direct failure of the US government to protect their own people in an extremely dicy and difficult situation, ripe with horrific possibilities and even guarantees that really bad things would happen, which resulted in a massacre.  Perhaps they couldn't have prevented it without evacuating their people much earlier - but it certainly looks a lot like there was an enormous amount of incompetence in dealing with the whole episode, from incompetent surveillance and intelligence gathering to responding to it in due time, including getting their people out of the danger zone.  This was the duty of Obama and his minions (Clinton and many others).  This situation was much worse than George Bush's ignorance prior to the 9/11 massacre.  It was a front line of contact with the Islamic enemy.  It was confounded by the convoluted and self-denying notion prevalent in US public and formal politics that  Islamism is not virulent and evil by its very nature.

The 9\11 massacre was not discovered beforehand, despite plenty of evidence that something was afoot that was ignored by the FBI, the CIA, the State Department, etc.,  because of inter-agency rivalries, bureaucratic jealousies and a Repuclican/Democrat reluctance to target Islamist fanatics.  The politicians of both parties have consistently  deliberately ignored this for years.  So there are similarities.  It seems that the Dems and the Republicans are both incompetent and caught up in fantasies and inter-agency rivalries,  political correctness and too stupid and/or venal to deal with the problem.  That is the story, not whether or not Jeb Bush had a grasp on the truth.  Who has in the US, at least as revealed publicly?

Canadian Federal Election Prediction

This is like shooting fish in a barrel.  Not that I take any pleasure in saying it, but -

I predict that tomorrow, October 19th, Canadians will elect a nincompoop and fool to government who, with his fellow nincompoops and fools will rain down stupid and dangerous policies upon us all.

Some Reflections on Allowing Muslim Immigration for Democracies

A friend in Quebec asked me about what was really happening in connection with the Muslim Migration out of Syria and into Europe, and also what sort of a danger did they  and Islamic immigration generally provide for us and European and other democratic cultures and societies.  She sent me a video, which you can watch showing the migrants behaving badly in a train station in Hungary, and an article written by a South African doctor warning about the Muslim problem.

The video link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRhI0Xqv5Rc

The article is as follows:

Here is a perspective by Dr. Peter Hammond.
He was born in Cape town in 1960, grew up in Rhodesia and converted to Christianity
Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam:
The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat:

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult.
In its fullest form, it is a complete,
total, 100% system of life.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military
components.
The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate
for their religious privileges.
When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well..

Here's how it works:

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given
country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving
minority and not as a threat to
other citizens. This is the case in:

United States -- Muslim 0..6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and
disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among
street gangs.
This is happening in:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their
percentage of the population.
For example, they will push for the introduction of halal
(clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for
Muslims.
They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their
shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply.
This is occurring in:

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow
them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia,
the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia
law over the entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase
lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions.
In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non Muslim action
offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats,
such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films
about Islam.
Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in:

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad
militia formations, sporadic killings,
and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%
At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror
attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers
of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims),
sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon,
and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run
ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these
nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as
has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House
of Peace.. Here there's supposed to be peace,
because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and
the Koran is the only word, such as in:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the
most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred,
and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a
variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was
me against my brother; me and my brother against
our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan
against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us
against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, 'The Haj'

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under
100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority
Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim,
and within which they live by Sharia Law.

The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no
national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities.
In such situations, Muslims do not integrate in to the community at
large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran.
To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death.

Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and
extremists exercise more power than the national average would
indicate.
Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population.
But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists,
Jews, and all other believers.
Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this   century .

The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.

My response to my friend:

A thorny problem, indeed.  Merely to discuss this problem openly in Quebec could subject you to provincial prosecution for a phony hate crime.  The Liberal government has passed a law to that effect.  It is probably unconstitutional since only the Government of Canada can enact criminal legislation.  The passing of this law reflects the ignorance, naivete and stupidity of so many Canadians (and others elsewhere) of a liberal persuasion.

I watched the video from Hungary.  Muslim society allows no, I repeat NO, role for women in anything of consequence, except for child care, food preparation, sex with their husbands, and strict obedience to their husbands or male authority.  There are and have been exceptions to this, but these are few and put women who attempt to sidestep the absolute power of men in Muslim societies in grave physical danger (Remember Malala, the Pakistani teenager who was shot in the head for her audacity).  That explains why we saw no women outside the train cars and involved in the protests.  It is always young men who are the most militant and violent, as the video demonstrates.  A different example of this fact can be found in verifiable evidence of the rape and other attacks on several thousands of young non-Muslim women in Britain by gangs of Muslim me.  And, little is and has been done about it by the police and governments who studiously ignore the problem because it would mean acknowledging the danger Islamic immigration presents to democratic societies.

Your second email on the Muslim Problem for our culture, quoting excerpts from a book ostensibly written by Dr. Peter Hammond, from South Africa, contains little if anything that is an exaggeration about Muslim culture.  As he says correctly, Islam is not just a religion, it is an entire way of life and governance containing its own rules of behaviour and punishment for not obeying the rules.  It is a death offence for a Muslim to deny his or her subjugation to Islam.  Of that there is no doubt whatsoever.  It is not uniformly enforced everywhere, but it is so common and normal that it is not exceptional at all.  There may be Muslim sects that do not follow this rule, but that matters little in the grand scheme of the Muslim culture.  Canada has had more than a few instances of so-called honour-killing of Muslim women who dared to adopt Canadian cultural ways.  Why this is seen as merely an exceptional aberration and not a danger endemic to Islam is beyond my ken.

A Muslim woman from Somalia who has escaped from Islam, in a manner of speaking, named Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who has been physically mutilated by being subjected to painful and debilitating female 'circumcision', and married against her will and choice, escaped to Europe, and then when she spoke her mind and views, was driven out of Holland by the aforesaid ignorance, naivete and stupidity of the Dutch Parliament and political apparatus, and now lives in the U.S. under constant armed guard against assassination by Islamist extremists, has written 3 books about not only her experiences, but her views on Islam and its danger to democracy and democratic values and culture.  I can only recommend that you obtain these books and read them.  I list them below.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are a few quotes from her taken from various newspapers and magazines:

the following is from Wikipedia:

Hirsi Ali has criticised the treatment of women in Islamic societies and the punishments demanded by conservative Islamic scholars for homosexuality and adultery. She identified as Muslim until 28 May 2002, when she announced that she was an atheist as a result of a multi-year journey.[93]

In a 2007 interview in the London Evening Standard,[19] Hirsi Ali characterised Islam as "the new fascism":

"Just like Nazism started with Hitler's vision, the Islamic vision is a caliphate — a society ruled by Sharia law – in which women who have sex before marriage are stoned to death, homosexuals are beaten, and apostates like me are killed. Sharia law is as inimical to liberal democracy as Nazism." In this interview, she said, "Violence is inherent in Islam – it's a destructive, nihilistic cult of death. It legitimates murder."

In a 2007 article in Reason magazine, Hirsi Ali said that Islam, the religion, must be defeated and that "we are at war with Islam. And there's no middle ground in wars."[3] She said, "Islam, period. Once it’s defeated, it can mutate into something peaceful. It’s very difficult to even talk about peace now. They’re not interested in peace...There comes a moment when you crush your enemy."[3] She reiterated her position that the problem it isn't just a few "rotten apples" in the Islamic community but "I’m saying it’s the entire basket." She stated that the majority of Muslims aren't "moderates" and they must radically alter their religion.[1]

Hirsi Ali speaking in April 2015, on an Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio program said,

"It's wrong for Western leaders like (Prime Minister of Australia) Tony Abbott to say the actions of the Islamic State aren't about religion. I want to say to him 'please don't say such things in public because it's just not true.' You're letting down all the individuals who are reformers within Islam who are asking the right questions that will ultimately bring about change."[94]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Her 1st book, INFIDEL, is essentially an autobiography up to the time when she escaped Holland to the U.S.  Her second book is described in this excerpt from Wikipedia:

NOMAD: From Islam to America: A Personal Journey Through the Clash of Civilizations

The Guardian observes that Nomad "(describes) a clan system shattering on the shores of modernity". The books expands Hirsi Ali's previous early life descriptions focusing on "the remarkable figure of her grandmother, who gave birth to daughters alone in the desert and cut her own umbilical cord, raged at herself for producing too many girls, rebelled against her husband, arranged for the circumcision of her granddaughters and instilled in them an unforgiving, woman-hating religion." "Hirsi Ali observes that her own nomadic journey has been taken across borders that have been mental as much as geographical. In Nomad she calls her ancestral voices into direct confrontation with her demands for reform of Islamic theology. The result is electrifying."

Hirsi Ali calls Nomad her most provocative book for urging moderate Muslims to become Christians. She later backed off this view. After witnessing the Arab Spring, Hirsi Ali also took back her argument in Nomad that Islam is beyond reform.

Her 3rd book on Islam, also as described in Wikkedia, is HERETIC. Here is what they wrote:
Heretic: Why Islam needs a Reformation now

Susan Dominus of the New York Times wrote: "In “Heretic,” Hirsi Ali forgoes autobiography for the most part in favor of an extended argument. But she has trouble making anyone else’s religious history — even that of Muhammad himself, whose life story she recounts — as dramatic as she has made her own. And she loses the reader’s trust with overblown rhetoric. ... She tries to warn Americans about their naïveté in the face of encroaching Islamic influences, maintaining that officials and journalists, out of cultural sensitivity, sometimes play down the honor killings that occur in the West."

The Economist wrote: "Unfortunately, very few Muslims will accept Ms Hirsi Ali’s full-blown argument, which insists that Islam must change in at least five important ways. A moderate Muslim might be open to discussion of four of her suggestions if the question were framed sensitively. Muslims, she says, must stop prioritising the afterlife over this life; they must “shackle sharia” and respect secular law; they must abandon the idea of telling others, including non-Muslims, how to behave, dress or drink; and they must abandon holy war. However, her biggest proposal is a show-stopper: she wants her old co-religionists to “ensure that Muhammad and the Koran are open to interpretation and criticism”."

Shocking views, aren't they, to suggest that Muslims must behave and act in Canada, the U.S., Europe and other democracies, like we expect people to behave in our culture, and that Islam is above and immune from examination and criticism.

There are other authors of repute who have written a lot about Islam and Muslim culture and attitudes, like Mark Steyn, Robert Spencer and others.  Lots to read.

When I looked over the Wikipedia page on AHA I also found the following:
